Mountain Climber: Frozen Dream is a nice looking platformer where players take on the life of Mike, the black sheep in a family of mountain climbers. When the game begins, you'll learn that Mike was always the odd, goofy brother, the one that didn't quite fit in. Because of his overweight body, and unhealthy lifestyle everyone assumed that he would never be a good climber. Mike grew up without his father's approval, but in return he had something that no one else counted on: a very big heart. Thanks to that gift, Mike can overcome his own limitations and meet his challenge of climbing to the top of the mountain, because his heart will help him survive even the hardest moments.
In Mountain Climber: Frozen Dream gameplay is simple: survive the ascent to the different peaks to each mountaintop, and overcome several maps with different levels of difficulty. In order to ascend through the vertical walls, all you have to do is tap on screen. That gets Mike jumping from one wall to another, heading upwards. To advance horizontally even faster, you'll have to tap on screen several times. That gets you walking on the air or dodging the huge ice crystals that hang from above.
Throughout the ascent, you'll meet other mountaineers, each with their own motivations and prejudices. You'll need some of their advice, but you'll also have to learn to avoid climbers who only give off bad vibes. If you fall down more than three times, you'll end up in The Darkness, that you can only get out of using your heart -- or watching a video. If you don't want to do either of those things, you'll have to start all over from the beginning again.
Mountain Climber: Frozen Dream is a great looking platformer about personal improvement, with a heart-warming story. Mechanics are fun, very addictive and provide hours of high quality entertainment time.
